My daughter Ginger's birthday and mine are only twelve days apart. Plus, the nineteen-year age span. We decided to have a mother/daughter spa day to celebrate this year.
Ginger arranged for both of us to get massages at Tonya's Massage. The business is located at 221 W Randolph, Enid, OK 73703.
We walked down the sidewalk and were impressed by the large elaborate doors welcoming us into Tonya's Massage. As we entered the building, I caught my breath as memories flooded me of bygone years. Any baby boomer from Enid will remember this building as Richell's Café. The food was always great, and the toy train that ran on tracks around the wall instantly entered my head. Then this building became Emilio's Supper Club. An upper-end restaurant with piano music by Emilio. Next, it became the home of Napoli's. For those who remember The Friday Night Friends Group, Napoli's is where it started. A group of us would gather every Friday at Napoli's and get a large table. Anyone who wanted to join in was welcome. Some Friday nights, the Friday Night Friends Club would be just a handful of people, and other Friday nights, it would be massive. I relived so many good memories when I walked into the spa that I was excited I was going to get to create another good memory in this building with my daughter.
Tonya has created an atmosphere of calm, serenity, and elegance. Everything is white-glove clean. The massage rooms are huge, and the massage beds are heated. You can choose from relaxation massages, deep tissue massages, scalp & facial massage, prenatal massage, and couple's massage. Your masseuse will use the amount of pressure that is just right for you. I chose the relaxation massage, and Ginger had a combination of relaxation and deep tissue. Both of us were relaxed and refreshed when our massages ended.
You can also get a facial or stripless waxing. Tonya has a beautiful area set up to book parties. She also offers a variety of classes.
Tonya has the words, The Art of Relaxation, printed on her business cards. Tonya and her staff are true artists.
